Are you interested in becoming a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT)? SEA is here to help you! Seattle Education Association is offering facilitated support for candidates going through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards certification process. Register by September 23!
Getting your National Board Certification is a rigorous process, but getting support can be key to your success. Becoming an NBCT will:
- Elevate your teaching practice.
- Positively impact your students’ learning.
- Give you access to leadership opportunities.
- Connect you to teachers state- and nation-wide.
- Increase your annual salary ($6,200 or more).

Calling all Teachers of Color! WEA Margins To Center Scholarship
In partnership with WEA, SEA is thrilled to also offer the “Margins To Center” Scholarship opportunity.
This scholarship is for Multilingual Teachers and Teachers of Color to help defray the cost of National Board Candidate Support by covering the cost of up to two components. Learn more about this scholarship opportunity.
What is the cost? Candidates pay support fees based on Components selected. Scholarship recipients will receive financial support to cover the cost of two Components. If a scholarship recipient would like to register for two additional Components they will need to register on the SEA website.
